IMPORTANT ELEMENTS OF SENSUAL WELLNESS
ONE… Nothing is, “wrong.” Everything is accepted as a way to grow and gain experience and energy. It’s important to know that every step you’ve taken so far to get where you are was implicitly important in creating who you are in this moment. You, nor any of those steps, are wrong. You are energy and light, beyond judgement. That is all.
TWO… Pleasure is divine. There is a sacred art in connecting to pleasure that reveals its truest form. Whether you’re eating, drinking, meditating, having sex, laughing at a joke, creating something beautiful, you can find the divinity in these small pleasures. And when you do it reveals the true nature of your divine essence as a conscious, thoughtful, awake being.
THREE… Everything is energy, everything is sensation. Everything is sexual. The ancient practice of Tantra acknowledges that every particle of matter has energy, and a kind of sexual union is always taking place between us and our experience. So, everything is energy, and how we gain and lose our energy is through a sex-like act that we are constantly unconsciously performing. When this act becomes conscious, you are in your practice.
WHAT IS SENSUAL WELLNESS?
The focus of Sensual Wellness is to make your body as available to sensation as possible. You then use that sensation to access a resource of sustainable sexual-creative energy for your life, create healing for your body, and deepen your connections and relationships. Sensual Wellness combines traditional Tantra and Taoist techniques, draws from modern anatomy, wellness and nutrition, metaphysics, and integrates meditation and sensual sensation building focuses.
Sensual wellness sees the world through a veil of sexual-creative energy and sensation. You use techniques to prime your body in order to access and hold more pleasure, more power and more sensation. In addition, sensual wellness techniques balance hormones, and create massive healing in places that are difficult to connect to via more traditional therapy, or psychotherapy options. Sensual wellness is therefore not only pleasure enhancing, but has real therapeutic value helping to increase the quality of life, eliminate emotional and mental blocks, build intimacy between partners in loving relationships, and enhance the enthusiasm you feel in your everyday existences.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO FEEL?
As your body relaxes through the process, and your nervous center opens up, sensation begins to expand to corners and crevices of your body you never knew were supposed to feel. Previously blank, or numb spaces are super-charged and refreshed with the electric current of your Orgasm. This sensation is an intrinsic part of you, me, everyone and everything around you…your sexual-creative energy simply allows you to open up and receive more of it. Sensual wellness is not only sexually freeing, but it’s pragmatic and sensible too. While a technique can help increase the magnitude of sexual pleasure by phenomenal proportions, it can also help relieve everyday stress and anxiety. Sensual wellness amplifies sensation, so you can expect to feel a kind of sensuality that is deeply satisfying and honest. You can also expect to feel more excited about life in general (when you’re not practicing), as the hormones in your body begin to balance themselves out, and specific pleasure-inducing hormones become more bio-available in your system.
WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS OF REGULAR PRACTICE?
There are so many benefits of your sensual wellness practice. Namely, an increased feeling of joy and satisfaction (not only sexually and sensually, but generally). You will also feel more in control of your body, and your life—this control may manifest sexually, or in non-sexually (or both). Your practice also connects you deeply to each and every part of yourself, increasing your understanding of who you are as a human, and therefore helps you take more responsibility for your experiences, helping to empower you, your relationships, and your enthusiasm for all of life.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE A PARTNER TO PRACTICE?
No. You don’t have to have a partner to work with me, or to explore your sensuality and sexuality in a deep and profound way. As a matter of fact, your sensual wellness practice is an individual practice. Learning to access your whole self is a significant part of any conscious sexuality work, getting to know yourself is where the magic happens.
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I DEDICATE TO MY PRACTICE?
This depends on what your sensual goals are, and if you are an individual or working as a couple together. Most people dedicate 3-5 days per week for a practice. Sensual wellness techniques can help to draw out and elongate your sensual experience with your partner, and they can also help you pull in experiences and desires you wish to see show up in your life in more practical ways. The time that you dedicate to your sensuality each week is totally up to you, how much time you comfortably have available, and how dramatic a shift you need to see in your overall life experience.
